Dr Rishi Prasad – Medical Director
I am Dr Rishi Prasad, an Enthusiastic and dedicated Emergency Medicine (A&E) doctor.
I was born and brought up in the North East of England.
I completed my undergraduate training at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne; my Higher Specialist training was completed in the Northern Deanery and East of England.
I had worked as a Consultant at the Princess Alexandra Hospital as a practising clinician, Clinical Director for Non-Elective Pathways, Chief Clinical Information Officer and Associate Medical Director.
After this my adventure took a twist and I moved to Abu Dhabi where I had the luck of working at Mafraq Hospital and then Sheikh Shakhboot Medical Citywhich was a government-Mayo Clinic collaboration for 5 years.
During this time I provided direct clinical care to many patients at this busy regional Major Trauma and burns centre. In addition to my clinical role I worked as Director for Patient Safety across the hospital, ensuring and advocating for safe and high quality patient care.
After this I relocated to Dubai to work in Mediclinic City Hospital (Private tertiary referral centre) as the Head of Emergency Department.
In Dubai I really learned the difference between patient vs client care. I developed an understanding that everyone’s time is precious to them and how they are holistically considered matters. How we communicate, how we go above and beyond does make a difference. I used this role as Lead to embed a culture and approach that focused all staffs’ minds around this way of thinking.
How clients feel and what is easy or helpful to them MATTERS to us
Personally, “I know I like my coffee in the morning, have my clients had any today?” As a doctor it is rare for us to think like this, yet this is a simple example of “care” that has been cultured in my department, as it rightfully should be.
In addition, both in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi I developed a deep understanding of the intricacies of private healthcare provision, billing, working with insurers, understanding diagnosis and how they connect to approvals and disallowances at various levels (as a direct clinician and head of department).
As a senior Physician interacting with clients, I often explored and discussed costs of investigations and care; the benefits and short-comings; and my clinical recommendations. Thereafter the care pathway would be directed by my clients informed choices with the ability to re-discuss and re-explore if their thoughts or minds changed.
These experiences and opportunities, over more than seven years,is what makes my knowledge and approach unique, and one of a kind, in the UK healthcare sector.

Vitor is a Registered Nurse with experience in Emergency Medicine, an MBA and Chartered Manager Fellow status, bringing 8+ years of exprience in healthcare operations, service design, and technology-enabled care delivery. His work spans clinic build-outs, operational systems, patient pathway design, and the execution that turns a clinical vision into a working service.
Vitor leads operations, clinic build, and execution of the project.
Johan Du Plessis – Non-Executive Director and Senior Advisor
Johan brings 28+ years of leadership across emergency medicine and private healthcare. He is the Co-Founder of Casualty Plus, the UK´s first private casualty centre, and previous CEO of ION Ambulance Care. His experience building and scaling private urgent care services in the UK directly informs how Priority Healthcare Plus is being designed. Johan advises on clinical operating model, service design, and UK private urgent care strategy.
